"Slow4o" (Slow4o)

I know this is pretty Mustang specific, but I figure I should go ahead and appeal to the Oppo hivemind in case anyone has any answers, since so far the Mustang forums aren't helping too much.
So my instructor at the HPDE at MSR Cresson (writeup !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) said he is able to hook me up with some scrub Pirelli P-Zero LM slicks, coming from a former ALMS team for a kick ass price. The problem is these only come in size 305/660 18. So obviously that second number is not normal, but I found out that Pirelli labels all their slicks that way. What I am more concerned about is the 305 width tire. So that rim in the picture is the SVE Drift rim, and is a decently light and cheap rim that can be had in 18X10", which is what I would need for the 305's. They have a +43mm offset. Now I have been trying to figure out what kind of spacer or camber I might need to run in order for these to fit, but two nights of research have yielded nothing. I do know one guy that is running these with 285's all around with just -1.3 camber, and that Sam Strano runs an Enkei rim that is 10.5" wide with 315's and a 5mm spacer. Also this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has a cool thing where you can spec out a wheel, but I have no idea what 660 in Pirelli speak equates with normal tire measurements. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had any experience with running a wide tire with this, or any suggestions on figuring out the best way to see if these will fit. I am still waiting on a call back from Sam Strano, but until then, any suggestions are appreciated!

660 is the Diameter in MM.
If it is a fox, you should clear the rear and front fine...
I was actually helping a co-worker today size out wheels on his fox.

305 660 18 converts to roughly 305 35 18
So thats the dimensions you should use.
Its about 10 MM off.....But as close as I can get.
Sorry for blowing your notifications up.

That would make sense. Should have thought about that before. It is actually a SN197 ('o8) that is lowered a bit on Steeda Sport springs. Should've posted that before. Thanks for that!

I can look and get info to see what I can do.
What wheel size does it have now?

My buddy runs 17x10.5s with 315s on the rear of his lowered new edge and has no problems. His fenders are rolled though.

Okay.
So.
Here is what I have gathered.
If you had the stock 18s, that wheel has a +50 offset.
Meaning these are a lower offset.
Moving the barrel of the wheel outwards away from the chassis.
According to the site with all of the info I entered it is saying they will clear.
So yeah.

Stock is on the left, aftermarket on the right.
If I messed up let me know.

Sorry I am getting back to you slow. Right now I have these , they have a +30 mm offset. On the backs though I have the 10" ones, so when I swap my street pads back on tomorrow I am going to move one of the rear ones to the front and check it out. The rears have a +45mm offset with 275's on them. I'm going to look at that chart you made now.

Yea I am hoping to not have to roll my fenders. If that is what it takes I might just get some other scrub tires online that are 285's.

I'm also going to take a tape measure and try and measure out the space between my rears on there and the supposed dimensions of the 315's.

Yea I got that. Also the wheels on it now are 18X9 (+30mm) with 255's on the front and 18X10 with 275's (+45mm) on the rear.

So you can run a 315 size tire in the back with just a 315 kit which you can call up Bruce Griggs for but for a 305 you may not need it out back. For the front however it can't remember how big the front wheel can be with the stock strut without excessive scrubbing. But I want to say with long enough studs and rolled fenders we were able to.

Yea I am hoping I am. Also I have camber plates and can dial in more camber if need be since this isn't a DD. I am hoping to talk to Sam Strano tomorrow because he has fit all types of tires on the SN197's.

I have Koni Yellow's so not a stock strut. I also am aware of the Grigg's kit to let you run 315's, and I wonder if Sam Strano uses that for his 10.5" wide set up. I am going to try and measure out some clearances tomorrow. And I know with rolled fenders I can definitely fit it, but I don't want to really do that much work right after buying a house haha. Believe it or not this is the cheapest way for me to get tires right now.

So I just got off the phone with the big guy himself and 305's fit the rear without coil overs but need 315 kit with coil overs, and unfortunately said the front needs special struts although I do remover us using koni D/A coil overs. He did say something about you might have too much grip that some stock parts might not hold up. Email me at jamil707@gmail.com for the full rundown.

I rolled my fenders over christmas and it took an hour. If you can find a roller and a heat gun you're good to go with two people and a couple hours
